David Zahn, CFA, FRM

Head of European Fixed Income

David Zahn, Head of European Fixed Income and Senior Vice President within Franklin Templeton's Fixed Income Group. Mr. Zahn leads the management of European fixed income strategies and is a member of the Fixed Income Policy Committee. He is also a portfolio manager for a number of Global Aggregate and Global Government fixed income portfolios.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2006, Mr. Zahn was a senior portfolio manager at Citigroup Asset Management.

Mr. Zahn holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Maine and an M.B.A in finance from the University of Connecticut. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and is a qualified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).


Gail Counihan

Fixed Income ESG Analyst

Gail Counihan is a fixed income ESG analyst for Franklin Templeton Fixed Income. Ms. Counihan is responsible for building and implementing ESG strategy across client portfolios, providing investment recommendations and ESG screening across European fixed income, and conducting ESG fixed income thematic research.

Ms. Counihan has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and has focused on ESG for the past 10 years. Prior to her current role, Ms. Counihan was an ESG analyst at Royal London Asset Management, and was previously with Barclays and Goldman Sachs. Ms. Counihan joined Franklin Templeton in 2018.

Ms. Counihan holds a bachelor of commerce degree in financial analysis from Stellenbosch University in South Africa, and a masters in sustainable development from the University of Birmingham Aston business school.

Marie-Anne Vincent is the CEO of Carbon4 Finance. Christa Clapp is a co-founder and Managing Partner of CICERO Shades of Green Ltd., a global leader in green ratings for bonds and other financial products, and a subsidiary of the climate research institute CICERO. She also leads the climate finance work at CICERO, focusing on climate risk for investors.

She has over 20 years of experience in climate policy and economic analysis, holding previous positions at the OECD and the US EPA, where she received a National Honor Award Gold Medal. She is a Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 6th assessment report on mitigation for the finance and investment chapter and sits on the Editorial Board for the Climate Policy Journal.

Senior ETF Investment Strategist

Marcus Weyerer joined Franklin Templeton in November 2018. In his role as Senior ETF Investment Strategist he is responsible for the strategic and tactical positioning of our ETF product range against the macroeconomic background.

Previously, Marcus Weyerer held a distribution role at WisdomTree covering the DACH region. Until 2016, he worked at Intesa Sanpaolo in London as a money market trader and in the bank's treasury service for international corporate clients. Prior to that, he worked in various positions at Commerzbank AG, most recently in interest rate and currency management.

Marcus Weyerer studied at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Finance & Capital Markets
