Macro moments live: US midterms 2026 – after the vote, what next for markets?

Date: Wednesday, 04 November, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time
Duration: 1 hour

Americans go to the polls on 3 November. By the following day, investors will be weighing the emerging results and what they could mean for the US economy and financial markets.

Could a new balance of power in Washington alter the outlook for government borrowing, tariffs and regulation? How might US equities, Treasury yields and the dollar respond? And could the direction of the economy matter more to investors than the political result itself?

Join Michael Browne and Jeff Schulze of the Franklin Templeton Institute for a live Macro moments special on 4 November. Combining global investment perspectives with detailed analysis of the US economic cycle, they’ll examine the emerging results, explore the potential market implications and consider what investors should be watching as 2027 approaches.
