Jeffrey is an Investment Strategist and oversees capital market and economic research, contributing thought leadership on these topics that is frequently quoted in the financial media, including the Wall Street Journal, CNBC and CNN.

He joined ClearBridge Investments in 2014 and has 15 years of investment industry experience. Prior to joining ClearBridge, Jeffrey was a Portfolio Specialist at Lord Abbett & Co., LLC. He received a BS in Finance from Rutgers University. He is a member of the CFA Institute.

Mark Lavan is a Senior Vice President, Co-Head of U.S. Retail Sales at Franklin Templeton (FT). He leads the head of retail national accounts and their investment platform research team and two wirehouse divisional sales managers, and their teams of senior advisor consultants and advisor consultants, in the distribution of FT multi-asset solutions throughout the U.S. 

Prior to this role, Mark was the Head of Field Sales and Co-Managing Director of Legg Mason Investor Services, LLC. He was responsible for U.S. Sales and the strategic efforts of the Retail Intermediary Field Sales Team focused on the distribution of Legg Mason’s investment solutions to wirehouse, regional and independent financial advisors nationally. Mark also managed the Retail National Account research and relationship management teams.

Mark brings over 20 years of investment industry experience. Before joining Legg Mason, Mark managed a Product Specialist Desk at Merrill Lynch, working closely with financial advisors supporting portfolio development across managed account platforms. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he held a position at Lord Abbett as a Portfolio Specialist. Mark began his career with TD Ameritrade.

Mark graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Fordham University. He currently holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses.
